well i found a deal on a truck tho other day and went to pick it up today.

The Good - 2002 Ranger EDGE ex-cab, 2x4, 5 speed automatic, 3.0L V-6, 115K miles, cloth interior.....

The Bad - it's been wrecked, frame is bent but it had a clear title, they only had liability so the insurance didn't touch their truck......











i got the front end tore off it tonight. getting it to a friends bodyshop next week to get it on the frame machine..... this guy can work some magic..... i've seen him straighten out way worse than this before..... then to try to find an 06' or 07 front clip to put on it.....

hopefully i can get it all put together for less than $2500 total investment.....

oh and the A/C still works.....

very cool! I've wanted to do that to a few cars i've come across in my job as an adjuster... but just never have the room!!! Very cool and keep us posted on how it goes!

 

i wish.... so much easier to slam this one than my 94... this one has A-arms and tortion bars.... my 94 has I-beams.... my 94 has a 3/5 drop on it..... this one is staying stock and my wife is going to drive it. that way we can get rid of her KIA and all our vehicles will be PAID FOR

i looked at the truck about 6 months ago when his wife wrecked it and wasn't really interested in it. then he lowered the price and i paid off my truck and expedition and has the excess cash to get it. went and looked it over and the wife told me she wanted it. it'll be a slow process as i'll be doing it myself but it'll cost alot less since i won't have to pay for the body shop hourly rate..... the interior is real clean and it's got ~$10 in change in it between the center console and floor......

 

it will be nice when ya get done.......good milage too

 

and it's a flex-fuel truck..... think i can run Biodiesel in is instead of e-85?
