Funny stuff Tye! I am glad to have the job. My wife was quite the downer though. I told her I got the job, and the first words out of her mouth were "how much gas is it gonna take for you to get to work and back now?" 
Women. Luckily, I've got my little beater toyota truck that gets 26-27 mpg to drive most days, unless it snows, then I have to drive the Dodge

So, I applied for a job as a CSR for Hertz car rental yesterday at about 2pm. 20 minutes later, I got a call from HR wanting to do a phone interview. After the phone interview, she asked me to go in for a 1 on 1 interview with the area sales manager at 9 am today. I interviewed with her, and everything seemed to go great, and she said she would call me and let me know the outcome. I stayed down the mountain most of the day, and when I got home there was a message on the machine. She had called at 11am to talk to me 
I called her back and she offered me a job contingent on my passing the drug and background check, which won't be a problem at all... I am happy to have a job, as my mooching (aka unemployment) just ran out. Decent pay, a little bit of a commute, but I get full benefits after a 90 day probationary period, full dental, health, vision, 401k and life insurance
Thats all.. I am no longer a leech on society

whats up with all the interviews and phone calls...
what ever happened to 1 interview 1 phone call?
or 1 interview hired on the spot!
every job i got i was hired on the spot.. the ones that say they will call never do..
and ever job i have ever applied on the Internet for i have never heard anything from!
funny cuz alot of places are only taking Internet applications!

I know what you mean. I thought I had a different job lined up before this one, and the guy said he'd call, and I never really heard anything from him. So, I called them about a week after my interview, and he said he seemed to "misplace" my resume. Throwing it away doesn't constitute misplacing it
