There's a lady down the road here that lives in her van.
She gets some help from the church with a spot to park
so at least the cops will leave her alone. She's been there
since before we bought our house here in Feb '06.
Maybe you could get the spot beside her and start a city.

That stratus probably wouldnt be too bad....

But heres what i would recommend - buy private. (I do NOT trust ANY used car salesman or any dealerships in general - they are there to take your money). If you are looking at private sales ask a lot of questions you can generally tell if the owner is telling you the truth and is trustworthy. I dont know if you will find any in your price range but I would suggest a Honda or Toyota as they are solid and for the most part, trouble free (with the exception of the timing belt). My uncle has a Honda accord with over 600 000 kms. Have a mechanical inspection (including checks to make sure the vehicle wasnt totalled and then repaired) done before you buy and try to find a car that has maintenance records. You will probably need your sister to drive you around to look at a few.

Evil,

That's a sharp looking car. Now Jenn, bare in mind that Vancouver has the worst reputation in the country for selling used cars. Private sales are likely only slightly better.

If you find something out your way maybe see if BD Dave can take a look at it for you? He knows a thing or 2 about motors so cars are likely second nature to him.

With gas prices climbing maybe you should
get a bicycle or a pogo stick or something.

Thats why you take it for a complete mechanical inspection. It might cost you $100 but its well worth the cost. Theres not much use asking our opinions of a certain car because if we arent standing right in front of the car, we cant tell you if its good or bad.

Anyway - this is JMO.
