I agree with everyone here.. While it would be cool to see on a track or something, I would NEVER suggest anyone do that... The guy is a moron.. He ought to try it out here in california.. He'd get run over faster than you can say MPG

doesnt shutting off a vehicle and restarting it take more fuel than it idling.....

Well, starting it takes more gas than idling for a few seconds. I am not sure how that equates to driving/coasting for a distance. Not too mention that may not be as much of an issue with newer/more efficient FI cars.
