I had to restart the puter for some thing and when it came back up the "H" was working right I dont know what fixed it but this may help anyone who sees this thread in the year 2020

Thank you for contacting Logitech Customer Support. My name is Idayani and I will be assisting you with your case involving Cordless Desktop LX710 Laser.

As I understand it, there is repeating keys of the "h" key. If this is not correct, please let me know.

Chad, at this point, I need you to check on these two things first as majority of repeating key issues are caused by interference:

a. Check for any source of RF interference close to the keyboard/mouse and keep it at least 8 inches away from the keyboard and mouse.
b.Check for cordless phones using 2.4GHz frequency or a wireless router or wireless access point nearby. If any are present, suggest moving them further away.

Chad, if the issue still persists, I would suggest you do hard reset. This is to drain out the capacitors in the device. To do this, you need to follow the steps provided below.
1. Remove the batteries from the keyboard and press keys on the keyboard repeatedly (as if typing) for approximately two minutes. This will clear out the capacitors.
2.Press the Connect button on the receiver.
3.Press the Connect button on the mouse. NOTE: You may need a pencil tip or other small tip to press the connect button.
4.Press the Connect button on the receiver.
5.Insert the batteries back into the keyboard.
6.Press the Connect button on the keyboard.

Please try to change to new fresh batteries and please ensure the batteries are replaced with correct polarities.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, I would suggest that you try connecting your keyboard in Embedded Mode. This is to ensure that the keyboard will work with basic functionality without SetPoint/iTouch installed. To do this, uninstall the SetPoint/iTouch software from your computer.
a. Open the Windows Control Panel.
b. Open the Add/Remove Programs window.
c. Locate the listing for SetPoint/iTouch and remove it.
d. Locate any other keyboard/mouse software and remove it as well as this software may interfere with SetPoint/iTouch software.

Reconnect your keyboard and please test to see if the issue still persists.

If that doesn't help, please ensure the keyboard is directly plugged into the ports without using USB hub or any bypass cable. Please test the keyboard on another USB ports on your system.

You would also want to test the keyboard on a different system. This is to ensure if it is a hardware issue.

Please let me know if this resolves your issue or if you require further assistance as I will be more than happy to assist you with your issue.

Thank you and have a great day Chad.

Sincerely,

Idayani
