They are not the same round! If you use that type of thinking then would the .38 and .357 be the same round with different pressures? That doesn't make any sense to me. they have different thickness cases, different lengths of case and different pressure loading. How is that the same round? I'm not trying to start any type of argument here, and I respect where you are coming from, but it just isn't the same round.

He means they will work in either gun,and 99.99% of the time he's right.
You are right,5.56 nato is allowed a higher pressure,my mini14 likes it fine though.

Well I brought home the SU-16C last night. This thing is SHORT with the stock folded. I can swing it around in our hallway pretty easily.

I got it all stripped down last night, cleaned and oiled just the way I like it. Should be hitting the range Saturday to try this feller out.

Interesting that the manual says it's chambered for .223 but they go on to say you can use 5.56 also. If they're fine with it then I am not worrying. Plus Kel-Tec gives you a lifetime warranty.

Now for accessories......

Are you sure that will fit in your purse?

223 or 5.56 if you prefer is not what I would think of as a ideal home defense weapon, common rounds are fully jacketed although others are available,in either case these round penetrate walls to well, you may be shooting at more than just the intruder ,

Well like I said it ain't primary but I did get hollow points.

And here's the pics:

I did the forend conversion, added a grip that is also a bipod, picked up a pair of AR15 mags and bought the ATN Ultra sight.

Cool piece. a shotgun would still be the preferred home defense weapon in most cases. imo Toss a couple Federal 00 buck Flight Control LE wads down the hallway, that should stop anybody, even the most cracked out body armor wearing nutjobs.
