I broke down on the highway through there last winter. While I was waitin for the wrecker the state cop showed up and said they weren't lettin any wreckers on the highways cause there ws a storm comin through that night. Wasn't snowin at all at the time and seemed to me like a good time to get all the cars off the highway. He said wreckers had already been notified. To make a long story short, we jumped in the truck I was hauling on a trailer and headed into town to a hotel and the wrecker showed up. When nobody was there he left and the next day when I called them back to go get the truck I ended up payin double cause I had to pay for both dispatches. That was an $800 wrecker fee for both trips together.

So ya I would agree that Iowa is more then just a little screwy in some of their enforcement.

The first line says "within 60 days" maybe you can get out of it on some sort of loophole, cause its been more than 60 days

2. This section shall not apply under the conditions stated in
section 321A.6 or to any of the following:
a. To such operator or owner if such owner had in effect at
the time of such accident an automobile liability policy with respect
to the motor vehicle involved in such accident;
Dude! Did you get busted for lack of insurance or proof there-of?
