Food Plots...Who Has Some?

LOL I have yet to make out to the fields to do anything.. Rained Fri... HEAVY and rained Sun... More rain expected I think Tues and Wed maybe again Fri. I guess that gives me more time to fix up the disk so when we do dry out a bit I can get out and get to cuttin!!
Can't wait to ge that clover and alfalfa planted, really curious to see if getting more planted than in the years prior brings in more deer, guess I will have to get the trail Camara out and get it set up on some trails!

a .243 is only pissing off the yoti's???? I would be lookin at the Ammo..... Unless your were just lookin for a reason to buy yourself a new gun..... :-)
I use a Win HB 22-250 and a 55gr sleeping pill, never had any issues taking down any Yote from SD, ID or IL. But I do reload my own ammo so I can tailor my rounds to the task at hand

Then On Top Of It All, The 100MPH Hurricane Winds Didn't Help While Residing The Farm House.
But You Pretty Much Caught Me. The 270 700 Rem Was On Sale - The 243 710 Is Gonna Be A Hand Me Down. If Anyones Looking For A Great Price On An Impressive Scope, Not To Break The Bank - Cabelas Is Having A Sale On Their Lineup.. Just Can't Be Beat.
I Actually Saved My Casings This Time Out. Back When Winchester & Remington Had Their Mail In Rebate On Ammo I Stocked Up On 100G For $5 A Box After Mail In Rebate - Went Through At Least 120 Rounds Between The 243 & The 270 This Weekend. Gonna Start Reloading Myself Again.

"a 270 on coyotes? We use them for Deer. Damn there wont be much left of the coyote"
Ifn yur not sellin the pelts no big deal, we can get around $12 a pelt in prime here hense why I use a 22-250!!!

I used to be big into Leupold, but I tell I had a hard time swallowing the price tag on those, got to talking to a couple of prior military Snipers they recommeded a scope called "Barska".
I picked up a 3-10x40 30mm tube Tactical I would put up against a Leupold anyday of the week and the everyday price tag 174.00 vs 650 for the Leupold
Barska 3.5-10x40 IR - SWAT Tactical - Rifle Scopes at Binoculars

Mine is the the mil dot, have it on the 7mm. Been really impressed with it thus far, hopefully I will get to really put it through some paces on my new range this summer.
Thinking about getting a second for the 22-250 and putting the leupold on the shelf or sell it..... Or I might put it on the 22 since the wife bought it for me on my B-day, she might get a little pissy if I sold it.

yeah I put the "Barska 3-9x42 IR Compact Dual-Color Reticle Scope" on my 12g for slug hunting.... VERY nice. Holds up very well to that mule.
Back on topic:
Maybe I will be able to get out and play in the fields this weekend if'n it dries out a bit between now and then. I am starting to get really anxious to get this seed out.
But still need to go through the whole process: Till, Till, Rip (gotta have the neighbor do that), lime and potash, Till and Till again then plant.............................. I might just have to take a couple of days off to get all this accomplished in a timely manner.....

Now I am no farmer by any means, but this is by far the most I have ever done in one shot as far as planting goes

Well I got about 3 acres plowed up this last weekend, inbetween the "Honey Do" List... Man talk about making life a pain in the "ares" when I am trying to get stuff done...
The rest of it I will need to mow off before disking, then I can get the lime/ potash mix put down and re-disk everything one more time then pack, plant, fertilize and wait for some rain

So have you busted your Turkey yet?
How did that residing job come out?
