Way to go! Thats a great plan. Teach him about the outdoors, hunting, fishng, respecting the wilderness, nature, the land. Those are all invaluable lessons and skills he can use and pass on.

Also teach him how to be a volunteer fireman after teaching him to weld!! I learned to after my dad and grandad were welding on a trailer they were modifying. We didn't get a new barn or anything, but lesson learned. Also while you are out there, teach him how to drive your truck. My dad taught me at 7 years old in his lap pulling a 32 footer cattle trailer with his crew cab chevy dually through my grandfathers land and I have never forgotten it. I also got to start driving with dad in the other seat at 9 in the pasture. I learned that 4 wheel drive is not good for much but digging a hole in a bunch of sand in a dually. Good luck to ya!!!
