Default owner operators?

i got my class A, over the summer. i'm signed up to to go drive for warner enterprizes basically for the experiance. i refuse to lease!
i have no house payment, no kids, no dog. i have no need to stay OTR any longer then i have to.
i would like to stay as close to home as possible, do owner operators have more options at local routs?

owner operators have more oppurtunities running otr. dont buy a truck until you got a solid contract or you'll be out of business within 60 days!

once in a while i have to go to new jersey, thats a over night trip.
i'm truly a happy fella! home with my family where i belong! and i get to go to gym every night. so i wont be a fat and lazy trucker!
