I have seen that 89' k100e in person. Very clean truck. Very impressive. I need 25 years old or older though. I found out to transport a rig from NY to CA is about 5K. Damn.

Personally I like the late 70s International 4070B. We had one with an 8v92 detroit and it was a sweet truck.

Wow, I thought everyone forgot about those when the conventionals got popular. I've always been a fan. Got two at home. KW and an IH. Wouldn't trade them. Gotta love them. Took me years to be able to get used to pulling my pants up while standing after we went to long nose trucks. If you ever want to talk old trucks, particularly COE send a note. Always a fan here.
Stay safe out there.

They are out there. Not in the best condition, I might add, but I've seen them up for sale. My biggest concern is where the HELL I would find parts!!

Another issue I'm having.............I took cash with me when I looked at an 81 KW areodyne. The guy said the truck was ready to work. I travel 3 hrs with cash in hand to find out suddenly it is not "ready to work", and isnt even driveable due to a flat tire and he don't have a way to air it up. In talking with him I could tell He didn't want to drive it, but somehow its able to make a 4 hr trip back to my house???????? Very frustrating.

there isn't too many 81 trucks I would even go look at with out bringing a float,I have been thinking about going to look at a 74 freightshaker cabover but I was planning on some swapping before running it ,air ride frt and rears and series 60 swap

If you're serious about finding a COE truck, keep looking. They are out there and don't believe it when somebody claims a truck is road ready unless you've seen it first. There are parts out there for many of them, just gotta look a little harder for them. I had a 74 Marmon COE. Wish I could find another. Those were the glory days of trucking. Not so much anymore. The IH in the picture is another great looking truck.
Stay safe out there.
