The quarries slow down in the winter months, but if they can dig it, they'r gonna ship it. Im in NY/PA quarrie contry where I live here. Lots of hills, and lots of bluestone and well, lots of rock!
He's only an 2 1/2 -3 hours north of me.

I never had the oportunity to drive a rig with floats, but I hear they aint no fun, let me know what ya think bout em. N good lookin Bulldog by the way, post up yer pics in the "lets see some big trucks" thread.

yeah floats can be fun. the garbage company i used to work at had floats on everything. the front load i drove didn't handle all that bad because of weight placement and all but the roll off guys REALLY bitched about them.

so when you lease on to a company do they give you fuel surcharges or are you stuck when your fuel bill triples?

im stuck with the fuel myself, the truck is now on the road today, $886 later, damn dmv, and should be working within the next few weeks, i got to get it all lettered up and get a register for a DOT number and all that, which im actually not sure how to do, it already has one if i could use that it would be great, also i need to get an overweight permit

OOIDA could probably help you with the DOT #. Look up there website or Comdata is where we used to get "Oversize" permits from and my HUT sticker for N.Y. I think. Might give them a try to. OOIDA would probably be your best bet though
