Default Need Speaker Info

Trying to replace the 20 year old front speakers in my truck but I don't want to go all out. I found these Kicker KS69 6"x9" 2-way car speakers at Crutchfield Signature but I can't find out how well they will work with a stock radio. I have a mopar cd/ cassette that I don't want to get rid of but I do want better sound. Does anybody have experience with running nice speakers with factory radios?

They will give you decent sound. An aftermarket deck and a amp is going to give your optimal sound. If you do just replace the speakers I would suggest running new speaker wire.

i dont understand why you want the stock radio i have a couple of them if you want those 2. Most of your sound qaulity will come from the deck and it would be pointless to hook nice speakers to the crappy stock radio. You will also have to cut the speaker holes to make 6x9s fit. Nowa days they have these new things called ipods capible of holding probly 10,000 cassetes in the size of 1 it keeps the truck much more organized just a thought

. I have an ipod and stuff like that. I just don't want to spend money on a deck right now. My factory speakers are shot and I want to replace them first. I thought 6x9's were factory, thats whats in there now. It s 6x5's that need help to fit. Does anybody make a complete kit deck and speakers?

Man they make complete kits including 4 speakers and a deck. A lot of them can be had for a bill or so.
