Default no front speakers or tweeters on 98 dodge

I put in a sony deck using a plug in harness to the truck and I have no front speakers or tweeters? Are the fronts set up on a seperate amp that I have to wire past to have the fronts work?

Had the same issue with my 98 along time ago...

What you have is the incorrect plug-n-play wiring harness used on the radio.I know it sounds stupid, trust me I have been down this route and there are two different ones. You are triggering the factory Infinity amp and the rears are only driving off the radio.Go back to the radio store and get the correct harness and your upgraded radio will run all the Infinity system and amp.

Yup some dodges were equipped with an Infinity system from the factory. I did not realize there were two different wiring harnesses though... VERY good to know, Thanks Hammer

Where is the stock infinity amp located in the truck?

The amp is located on each front door speaker on my truck which is a 2002. I'm pretty sure they are all the same but not 100%.

Also make sure you are hooking up the remote turn on blue/white or solid blue wire on the deck wire harness to the blue wire on the aftermarket harness. This turns on the stock amp(s).

You can also do a amp bypass, what you do is run your own speaker wire from the deck or an aftermarket amp to each speaker.

Sorry for the lack of update, did some investigating and experimenting and the schoshe harness has a wire mislabeled, the wire for truck amp really doesn't do anything, connected my remote from deck to the power antenna on the walmart harness and bam speakers and tweaters work. I just have the remote off the deck connected to the remote wire for my amp and the power antenna off the walmart harness and everthing works.
