Another thing to remember with the 06+ trucks is, they are now Can-Bus so you have to be real careful with messing with the wiring on them.

Anyone ever put after market door speakers? I have the infinity sound system. IMO it just doesn't get very loud! I was talking to a friend that is audio guy and said that I would have to rewire it because on my truck each door speaker has an amp built on them to power the tweeter an a rear speaker.

Anyone done this yet?

Yes. I have aftermarket speakers and cable and a deck. What you need to do is either get a deck with a decent built in amp or buy a remote amp that everything plugs into. I don't have an amp or a sub but I run a set of full range Rockfords off the sony deck and it works fine. I ditched the infinity stuff some time ago. The internal amps behind the dash suck.
