I've got a $90 JVC unit with PYLE 6x9's in each of the doors that I got off eBay for $60 I think. IMO it sounds great for what it is. When ever I get around to it I plan to put another set of 6x9's in the back corners and a small amp and a 10" sub. I don't want it to thump, my radio has a setting that will take most of the real low bass out of the speakers and just run it to the sub so that the speakers don't distort when you're jammin'.

I had a sony x-plode radio in my last 1st gen with 6x9's all the way around. It sounded good considering it had the factory speaker, I got it from wal-mart for $85.00 with the harness adapter. Currently I have the factory radio and the cheap spectra speakers also from wal-mart,and as cheap as they were they sound clear and loud.

Remember....you get what you pay for with audio equipment. $200 does not go far in the audio world.

The sony series from walmart is not a bad setup for head units. They seem to last forever. My last one the clarety it had was amazing i could hear notes and sounds from the difrent music that i didnnt realize was in the music. I even took the same music and played it in some high end systems and did not hear the same results. My last unit is 5 years old and still working. Just took it out to put in my project car as im putting huge sound it it..
