Thanks man, I never got your name??

Ok and aux use wouldn't I just use my source button, that is how I switch from cd, AM/FM and XM and if I hold down it will turn its self off. Would my deck pick up that I have a nother outlet source or would I have to read it and figure it out manualy

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

I printed out my intructions manual for my deck cause I've never had one for my deck since I've owned the truck but from what I've been reading is that my deck was and still probily is very advanced for its time and now a days. It hs built in eq hands free set and etc etc. And a lot more that aren't on the main buttons GO PIONEER!!!

My name is 1. Sergeant( a common military joke, when asked about the first name...)
No, just call me Michael...

As I was reading your manual I was wondering about the bunch of possibilities- no need to degrade it with an external equalizer.
It should be possible to switch it by the manual. Maybe you have to plug-in the ipod source first?

Don't worry, it will work!
The only thing I don't like, is you still have to use the i-pod controls to skip or change titles. That can be dangerous while drivin'.

also, i scanned the thread so i don't know if this was covered, but those EQ's that you posted are Pre-Amp EQ's that meaning for them to function they have to feed an amplifier. unless your mids and highs are on an amplifier that EQ will be a waste. get a unit like Stinky posted to up the bass from your subs. if you are powering your mids and highs off your head unit and want more out of them i would first invest in some quality component sets, and a good amplifier, 4 channel minimum, for the mids and highs and THEN you can utilize an EQ like posted above, but more bands the better as you can fine tune it easier.

the higher end Poineer units have good options. i personally have a Poineer DEH-P9300 and it is awesome, it is a few years old but it works. for the most part anything higher than their DEH-4XXX series are real nice....
