cd player wont work
i have had this cd player in my last two trucks and worked fine. now i have the 00 dodge 2500 that i want to put it in and it wont work. say it gets power and everything works just that its not getting ne sound to the speakers.
What kind of CD Player is it? Does it have a ground connection somewhere between the speakers and the frame? Speakers are shut off by protection if so.
Just make sure all wires are insulated and not kinked or squished in the door or somewhere else.

i hv a sony for it. but i put the old one back in and works fine. but my sony wont. but get power any all the functions work just no sound. thinking may be my cd player itself is the case. might get a new one this week end wit new wireing kit
on the dodge trucks some of them use a factory amplifier. hook the blue wire off the head unit to the blue wire (some times labeled power antenna) in the adapter harness and all will work. the blue wire will trigger the factory amp to turn on just like an aftermarket amplifier.
