How/where to install 6x9's in the back of my '88 F-250 extended cab?
My girlfriend got me a new system with 6" round speakers and 6x9's for Christmas. My truck isn't set up for any speakers in the back. What's the best way to fix that? I looked, and don't have the depth to mount them by just cutting holes. Have thought about fabbing and forming something to put one speaker about head high in each of the back corners, but haven't figured out what I'd make it out of.
I own a 90 x-tra cab seem thing as yours just newer. I put two pioneer 6x9's is the back right next to the back seat grab bars sounds great back there. I also built a custom box for lanzar neo 12's that has matching interior carpet. And behind the the box I put a orion 275 sx amp and a almani capicitor and xm unit.To be honest you can never know that there are subs and amps etc. back there, the only thing exsposed is the rear speakers and my deck. Door spears are hid just like everything else hope that gives you some ideas bud
