Subwoofer mounting directions
OK, im pretty good with building a nice system, but whats the purpose of mounting Subs, backwards?? Im assuming it has something to do with the bass note? I have pretty well desided how im building my next system in the Clubcab. Going to remove the the "jumpseats" for some big ol fat Subs. The 1st gen clubcabs leave much to be desired for room so why not right? After all NO ONE is riding back here for 1000 miles.
Yeah, u acctually mount the magnet facin out, and the cone side facing towards the truck body, or inside the box.
The only reason to do that is if your box is to small and you need that little bit of extra air space that the sub would of been taking up or some do it for looks.
I ranked these amp to what I think of them
Crunch - wouldn't even think of using one
Hifonics - cheaper amp but it does go boom
Phoenix Gold
Rockford Fosgate
JL Audio - one of the best but a lot of $$$ there are better options out there for the $$ IMO
Alpine, Crossfire, Diamond Audio, Infinity, JBL, and Memphis all have good stuff for the price (not in any order)

OK, thanks. I wasent sure if these tuner kids were doing it to make windows rattle more, or if it was a "oh yeah, well my magnet is bigger" thing. I always thought it was gay honestly.
Thanks for the info, I see Kenwood's building a few low profile subs now. Good idea.
