I'm am curious as to why my truck blows white smoke instead of black and I'm not trying to get it to dump black smoke but shouldn't the smoke be black instead of white? And could it be my injectors or maybe dirty fuel? What should I do to fix this because even while I'm idling it blows a lil white smoke??

your smoke issue is either junk injectors, worn out pump, or bad timing.

I have a 1990 7.3 IDI. I am having the same problem with the white smoke. It also has no power under a load (general driving not towing), and begins running rough at higher RPMs. I am a newbie to diesels and am at a loss. We bought the truck on a whim hoping we could get it running good for light duty pulling a tractor to our hunting club and back and work around the farm. Any help from you guys will be greatly appreciated.
