Default 1996 ebp

On the front passenger side of the engine, there is a tube that comes off the exhaust manifold & goes uo to the exhaust gas back pressure regulator. The tube on mine is broken, can it be plugged off? Thanks!

I think what you are talking about is the tube that goes to the ebp SENSOR.
I'm not sure what disabling it will do. I would replace the tube.

Maybe you could block it off so the exhaust doesn't leak and unplug the sensor until you can replace it.

replace the tupe, if you unplug it on that end it will cause a falt code, but in the future if you decide to eliminate the system on the turbo you can unhook things on that end with no codes...

Without it plugged in, it should run better on a default value.
UNTIL YOU CAN PEPLACE IT.

Twin, I was not trying to corect you, I was just adding that in the future if he decided to remove his ebp system he could unplug the solenoid under the turbo without any fault codes.

is it better to remove it or fix it? I have a 2000 7.3 and removed the ebp SENSOR and found it blocked. I do not have any codes. Would the truck run better with it fixed or with out it? I would like some info before I clean it, thanks!!
