I have a 1990 F250 7.3 with the E4od. I've only had it for about a month but ever since I got it it has been shifting hard in into 2nd and 3rd and jumps in and out of high and overdrive...and then today when I pulled into my driveway I smelled burning fluid and I got trans fluid leaking out(towards the front) like crazy! I havent drove it since. Someone help! I was thinking maybe a seal? or Pump?? I really hope i dont have to trash the whole trans...

 

Another possibility is the torque convertor could have crapped the bed.

 

how is replacing the tc on those?
