Default TS Performance 6 position Chip

I ordered this for my 97 Stroker, will be in today so I will be installing it this afternoon. Any advice from those who have already done this install?

Super easy...

just make sure you get the silicone off but don't try to kill the contacts... I use my fingernail first to get the silicone off, then once I think it's all gone, give it a few scrubs with the scotchbrite... Too much cleaning is worse than not enough because it's a difficult process to go back on...

Also, leave your keys in your pocket and disconnect the batteries...

Thanks, I have the box out now and cleaned the terminals. The directions on their website were wrong so I did more work than was necessary to remove the box. The directions you sent were dead on, but I was done removing it by the time I checked for a response. Oh well.

YAY!
Chip installed, truck reassembled, everything works on all 6 settings, will be taking the truck out for a test drive shortly. Will report on my MPG increase after I get back from Texas in a week; leaving tomorrow for Texas and taking the truck.

So far I have noticed 3mpg increase @ 70mph and 7mpg increase @ 65mph. Looks like I'll be doing a bit of driving @ 65mph.

I do all my driving at 65-70... anything beyond that is just mpgs going down the toilet... That was with or without the chip..

I have been considering getting one of these chips, but was told not to put the TS chip in unless I put an inner-cooler on my engine first. Also, can this be used on a stock 7.3 with a 3" downpipe, or do I need to add the inner-cooler?

It can definitely be used without adding an intercooler...
