ya you dont need a IC with just a chip, when i had my stock injectors i was running the TS and the only time it would get hot is when i would haul 450 gallons of water up a big hill but that was on the 75 hp setting and the truck would bog down really bad and thats when it got hot but that was due to my worn out injectors so you will be fine

I've noticed that the economy tunes usually give worse mileage than those that just keep their selector in the 140 setting or the highest setting.

7mpg increase at 65?! What was your previous mileage and what did it go up to???? And what setting did you get these numbers in... the 140 setting?

Thats ridiculous. These trucks stay cooler without intercoolers than 12v cummins do with intercoolers. Optimally you should have a 3" dp, 4-5" exhaust, and an intake before you get a chip.

I had been getting 13.5 mpg, and @ 65mph in the 75hp setting I got 20.something. I have not tried driving in any if the other settings yet. Should I try at a higher setting? I am leaving Texas tomorrow morning and heading back to Wyoming.

Definitely try driving in the highest setting. Thats where 90% of people get their best mileage. Just dont step on it like your gonna be tempted to.

the nice thing is you can have that chip reflashed by a number of tuners when you do upgrade. An 100 hp Tyrant tune is a little different than a 100hp TS tune. Cale is THE man.
