Default 1999 Cummins, Bomb direction

So I have a stock 1999 Cummins Ram, its my first cummins. I just bought a Bully Dog Torque Dog for it. Now, I have a few questions....are there any other tuners that will stack with the torque dog? I know I need to upgrade the intake and exhasut, but at what point should I look at a 5" exhaust instead of just a 4"? For the intake horns, does anyone know of where I can find some info on which one is going to work best (other than the manafacturer, )?? I'll be building my own 47re for it soon, already in the process of rounding up all the parts. Any other pointers would be great too.

An aftermarket lift pump would be the first thing i would do along with a fuel pressure guage!!!!!! You can get fass system or airdog I run an airdog 150 and like it.. Don't know anything about the torque dog I know there is someone on here that has a chart showing what all you can stack with it maybe Raw that has it.. I like my edge juice with attitude with the cts display for the gauges. Hope this helps some I believe the 4" exhaust will be all you will need the 5" would be more of a preference I believe!!!!!

Only thing u can stack with it is a Smarty but u need other upgrades first. Such as FASS System and Gauges.

I would get a better fuel pump first...fass or air dog. Both good pumps..then, before u get crazy with mods, get ur tranny built up.... New valve body, upgraded torque converter...and good heavy duty rebuild...I think ALOT of guys will tell u that the dodge tranny is the weakest part of these trucks....there's ALOT of vendors on here that will get u good prices on anything u need.. Welcome to diesel bombers, and the cummins family....join my Facebook page Cummins Freakz , we talk about mods, parts etc on there

I was a Dodge mechanic for a few years so I know all about the tranny's and such. Thats the whole reason Im going to build my own instaed of buying one. Working at a dealership I didnt work on a lot of modified stuff to much, mostly stock. Being from South East Idaho, the shop was only 20 min from Bully Dog HQ so they're the tuner of choice in that area. I totally forgot about upgrading the fuel pump!!! See, I knew it was a good idea to throw all this out there!! Thanks guys!

honestly you would be better off with a different programmer than a bully dog. edge just plain works on the vp trucks.
