Just wondering, I want to install a new clutch, and im looking at a dual disc setup, but how would it feel, from a sigle disc? I use the truck for towing and pulling. I have a 30 ft gooseneck, Just askin if the dual disc set up would be overkill. 1990, f-350, 7.3 IDI, 9,000 pounds. Basicaly im looking for a HEAVY DUTY clutch Does anybody have any ideas to where I could look?

 

get a single mass converion clutch kit from southbend.

 

Whats the advantage of this single mass setup, as far as the feel of the clutch and how it preforms?

 

reliability. when the dual mass comes apart, and it will, you will wish you got the single mass.

 

whats the advantage to the single mass clutch over a solid flywheel type as far as feel through the pedel? Stronger weaker with each type?

 

not sure what you are asking. single mass and solid flywheel is the same thing. and in my rig the pedal acutally got a little nicer to push.
