1991 F-250 4x4 problems

i havnt picked this truck up yet but...he said the 4 high works great just cant get it to slide into 4 lo...any ideas what the problem might be...

Did you try putting in neutral and let it roll a little?

Some of them you have to push the 4x4 shifter down and back to get them to 4 lo, that's how my 94 is.

the transfer case shifter is probly rusted solid. it does need to be pushed over to get back into low. everyone in this area has that issue.
