I guess it comes down to what kinda power you wanting to make. No sense in buying a turbo and then next yr buy a bigger one. Give us a lil more info on your plans and we would be glad to give you suggestions.

I'm planning on turning the pump up quite a bit, adding a denny T fuel pin, 3gsk, a custom cold air intake, and I'd like to do 60hp injectors and a turbo, and maybe some head work.. Then once the trani goes bang im going to get it rebuilt and toughened up.

You can most likely get a used HX35 cheaper than an12cm exhaust housing for a H1C. Plus its wastegated. And the compressor is 7-blade and 2mm bigger.

Almost done putting mine in.

The hx35 would be to small for 60 HP injectors. It wouldn't be able to keep the EGTs under control. With stock injectors my HX35 only kept my EGTs in check after I swapped out the exhaust housing for a 16cm^. Now with the 5x12s I have to watch out for high EGTs again.

If you have the option, get a '00-older HX35 as it has a super-short adapter flange that the 1st-gen downpipe connects to directly. The 01-02 (as I have) has a long 45 degree elbow, so I decided to make my own adapter flange. My HX35 was free from a buddy, so it made sense to use it.

Just finished my HX35 install tonight and test drove it I was conservative though, as I'm waiting for my pyro and boost gauages to show up. Seat-of-pants gauge says it spools faster. Must be more boost too, giving the engine more combustion air, as I can't generate a black cloud like I used to.

Main thing is the downpipe needs to move back about 1.5". Drill out the two threaded holes in the turbine housing. Oil fitting and drain from the H1C swap right over.

What turbo would be able to support them? I dont really know turbos, so maybe an HX40 or something like that?
