I'm looking into getting a 4" Skyjacker lift (springs, not blocks) for my 2004 F-250, and putting 35's on it. My question is, how will the lift affect the amount of weight I can tow? I know it has to affect it, but just trying to figure out how much it will. Thanks

 

The springs should be rated at or close to OE springs on the truck. If you are going with a 4" lift the rear will only be about 2" higher than stock (this will make the truck sit level. I had a 99 F250 with a 6" Skyjacker lift (4" rear) and it towed fine (using a 8" drop hitch).

 

I have Pro-Comp 23311 6inch springs on the rear, not long ago I had my 18'ft flat deck loaded with the wife's Liberty, crammed full of stuff, the bed packed about 18" over the cab front to rear on a recovery mission from Salt Lake City to Fallon, NV. At the local Chevron, I weighed 17,000 and change, my typical empty weight is 7000.

If you need to haul more than that, look through Summit Racing air bag section online, I found a set a 6" lift. Given it had a spacer, it was logical to assume that it was for a spring lift. Since you're going with 4", you could use it as a guide to modify a set of bags for your lift.

Ive never seen anyone have an issue towing with a lift. As stated above just gt the appropriate drop hitch and you should be in good shape

 

I have a 4" on my 06 F350 and I haul a 10,500 pound toy hauler without any issues. Mine is a bed mount, not bumper pull tho. You shouldn't have any problems
