Default Block heater

What the proper way to take the block heater out I need to replace it just having trouble getting it out or should I just install one on the heater hose?

on the heater there is a screw/bolt. loosen that while prying out on the block heater. once it is out, take some emery cloth and clean the area where the rubber oring sits. clean up the outside of the hole also. stick the new heater in dry and tighten the screw to the proper torque. overtorquing it will break the retaining clamp and it will fall out.

I have been having to use mine more often lately. When I use it, she fires up immediately. If not, it takes some cranking. Just changed the controller and I know it is working. Changed the gp's about 1 year ago. Does it sound like I need to change them again to fix the problem?

Thanks,
Sandman

test light. hook the aligator clip to POS battery terminal. unhook the wire to the glowplug and put the pointed side of test light to the glowplug top. if the light lights, the plug should be good.
