Been having the obnoxious left blinker problem for over a year (had the part for almost as long) and today I decided to change the multifunction switch. Can't tell ya what a PITA it was and the only advice I got is make sure to leave the ground cables unhooked for 10 minutes and that the wheels are straight ahead. Also make sure BEFORE you install the clockspring, rotate it clockwise all the way till it stops, then rotate 2.5 turn counter clockwise. The dowel should be on the bottom, w/ the harness on top. This is to make sure the spring is centered.
