will a E40D out of a 1995 power stroke bolt up to a 1993 idi

 

Pretty sure it will the trans that I'm putting in mine is out of a 96long e350 van and I got it from a tranny shop that my buddy works for

 

what controls the torque convertor to lock up and stay locked up,,,,I set the volt to 1.1 at Idle and 3.8 wot but seem to lock and unlock going down road, if you hold faster it stay in, thinking about adjusting to a little higher no. on the wot........someone else opinion is needed
