yea i was starting to suspect a charge air leak. what if any modifications are there on these engines to increase boost output? willbigger exhaust make that much of a difference?

I make sure your current setup is up to par first. No point in tuning on if if something is not right.

yeah, i dont want to pour more fuel on the fire if i cant get enough air to it, i mainly just wanted to know what its supposed to do, the truck runs fine plenty of power for a single cab shortbed 2wd f-150, it just seemed odd that i wasnt really seeing and boost at low rpm, although im wondering if my truck is light enough that it isnt really enough to put much of a load on the engine to get the exhaust volume up enough to spool the thing, at least before i have to slow down again

i just put the engine and everything in the truck a few months ago, had the turbo out, checked the endplay, had the turbine housing off, every thing was in order, none of the boots for the charge air cooler have leaks, filled the cooler with water to check it for leaks, had none, and the exhaust is the stock 3 inch downpipie and some of the dodge pipe that dumps out infront of the drive axle, no muffler just a pipe, so im thinking that thats just the way it is.

Yup. IIRC my W250 made around 15psi max in stock trim. It is what it is - a de-tuned setup with alot of potential.

Automatics are lower than manuals. The TC sucks a lot of engine loading.
