I'm looking at a 90 Dodge with a Cummings/auto and a 97 Ford Powerstroke/manual,both are 4X4 3/4 tons. Trying to find some info on what some common problem areas with them are?

 

the auto in the dodge will need upgraded. easy to make power into the 300hp range not much more than 400 with the VE pump. the stroker is a good work truck you can chip em cheap. they just arnt big on power for cheap, if that makes sence? i personally like the old dodges. wish it was a 5 speed but ide still go that rought
