I just bought this truck and it is pooring smoke the guy I got it from said the guy he bought it from turned the pump up I was worndering what to do leave it or tirn it back down I read up some on how doesnt seem hard p.s. this is my first diesel so I'm new to it all I know I don't like what i read about the smoke

 

read the stickey at the top of the 6.9 section about turning a pump up. i posted detailed pics on how to do it. and which way to turn the screw to turn it back down.

and just so your not confused, it takes an allen key to turn it up/down. allen keys have 6 sides. 1 side equals 1 flat. i would turn yours down 2 flats to start. see how it does then.

 

Worked awesome I only back it off one flat and no more heavy smoke a little black when I shut down on it but none when idle and just cruseing thanks a lot for the info.
