What does the smoke smell like? Does it clear up pretty quick?

Yes you can swap in cali injectors but you will need to tuning to run them because they are split shot injectors vs a non cali truck which has single shot injectors...

Oil usually burns blue... White could either be unburnt fuel or coolant...

My guess is it's just unburnt fuel and as long as it goes away you should be fine. Does the truck struggle to start? Might be a few bad glow plugs...
