Default bag of parts problem

just installed the industrial injection bag of parts on my cp3. install went smooth. took it for a test drive and felt a difference in power. i hit about 60 mph and the wait to start light came on and flashed/dinged for a little bit then went off. about five minutes later same thing the wait to start light came on and continued to flash. checked for codes and got p1223 which is pedal demand sensor b circuit high input. does anyone know how to fix this issue? i have not noticed any power problems but it is annoying to have the light flashing and the dinging.

I found the code in a lost of cummins codes on a thread in this forum. The code list went up to 1900 something. My haynes manual didn't have it either.

I knew this code looked familiar... Bud had it pop on his 06 when he had a cracked injector line on number six... Google it and it's related to fuel issues to a point. But the line fixed his yours is a different story

I put the old fca in and the code cleared. Im going to try and send the one from the bop back to industrial injection. Wish me luck.

They know they have issues so I don't think it will be an issue. Everything I've read has been related to a software glicth from an ECM update with either the smarty doing it or the fca from the BOP not playing nice. They will send you another just hope it works out for ya. This def seems like a 05-06 issue though

You need to reset your PPS.
Turn the switch on
Slowly press fuel peddle all the way down.
Then slowly return peddle to rest.
Turn the switch off.
This reset your peddle position switch.

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

The PPS runs a 5 volt reference signal. If you screw around with the cp3 pump the reference point is disturbed giving a circuit high reading.
