I have a 6.5 Turbo Diesel that is not getting fuel at the filter. If I fill the filter the truck will start and it will run until the filter goes dry. Why wouldnt the truck be keeping fuel in the filter?

either the lift pump is bad, the sock inside the tank on the sending unit is clogged, or the oil pressure switch is bad. the oil pressure switch controls the lift pump that way if there is no oil pressure it wont start. I had a 95 6.5 and i wired my lift pump to a key on switch that way it would always run.
