I have a 1994 F250 XLT 4x4 Turbo Diesel and the door jam says it was made 11 of 93 but the pink slip and vin number says it is a 94 the first half of the year, does that mean it is a IDI or is it a powerstroke ? it does not say powerstroke anywhere and I dont even know what kind of turbo is on it. It may have a k & N air filter on it because it has the decal under the hood.....I am new to diesels and would like to know if it is a powerstroke or not.The VIN number information I got says it is a 7.3 V8 OHV 16 valve Diesel.

 

your engine should be an IDI. does your intake say banks or sidewinder anywere. i think powerstrokes came out in late 94.

 

No banks or sidewinder anywhere under the hood why is it so hard to identify ? maybe it is because I dont know what I am looking at , maybe I should post a photo of the engine if possible
