Default E4OD?

Was heading north yesterday, got 117 miles from home and my tranny decided to loose 4th gear. Pulled over immediately and pulled out the snap on scanner. No codes. Drove to a ford garage, they said chances are in needs rebuild, and drive it home it's already spent. The truck is a 95 f350 powerstroke 30k on Jasper trans. Drove it about 40 miles called Tripple A. They called me back in 45 minutes said they'd be there in 45 minutes. I decided to take it around the block and back. Good thing I did. 4th gear came back. Called off Tripple a and drove home with scanner connected. Half way there got code for epc failure. Goes from 33 psi to 128 psi? Is tranny smoked or is the solenoid block bad? I just checked the wiring leading to the block and all wires look good.

Sorry for the long post

Is the tranny working now?

Do you mean you lost overdrive? Sure you didn't hit the OD off button?

Not sure about the code...

I lost overdrive, I played with that od button a bunch of times and nothing happened. After 3rd it would act like it went into 4th but go to an idle and have no 4th. Just rev up

Does the OD light still go on and off?

I would get ahold of a tranny shop in your area...
