Hi we have a 1993 Ford 7.3 Diesel ith a Garrett Turbo(part number 466533-9001). Unfortunately the Turbo has had better days and we have taken it to a shop to have it re-built only to find that it can't be rebuilt.

We have found a new turbo!! So that is all great and good..however there is a "pedestal" that goes between the turbo and the exhaust manifold that is also bad. I was told to go to either a Ford dealer or a ford parts reseller. When I phone Ford, they say oh no that's not us..I have even phoned Garrett, but they say that is not there part... but I am not sure what I should be really calling this part. Of course we need our truck fixed so I can get out on the road with my horses....please someone can you help me out? Can you tell me where I might locate this part?

i retro fitted my 1991 idi with a turbo, how does the pedastal go bad? we need DIESELCRAWLER in here, he is the man!

 

It has gotten so badly pitted that we can't get a tight fit and that is causing it to not burn efficiently.
