Advice? 12v and 24v p pump.
I've been gathering parts to do a cummins swap later this year. In that process I've acquired a 96 Ram with 260k miles on it and a 24v complete engine wtih 94k miles. I got the 24v first and decided I didn't want the hassle of the electronics, so I decided to sell it and buy the 12v. The 12v will probably need a rebuild before i put it in and that costs $$$. So I was throwing around the idea of using the 24v and converting it to a P pump with the parts I have on the 12v (plus new lines). I'm looking for advise if the 24v Ppump is a better combo than the rebuilt 12v. Thanks
12v vs 24v, that's an old argument with nothing but preference to support it. Me, I opt for the least amount of moving parts and needs the least amount of electricity to make it happen. 260,000 miles on a Cummins ain't much unless it has been badly neglected and abused.
