depends on what you do with it. does the truck tow a trailer? is it manual or automatic?

if it is automatic, and you never tow a trailer, then maybe you will be safe. but every motor is different.

i dont turn anything up untill it has gauges on it.

eGauges.com - VDO, Auto Meter, Defi, Isspro, Cyberdyne and Classic Instruments Gauges is the cheapest place i have found gauges at.

The responsible thing to do would be to wait until you can monitor the temps...

ya i nw that just seems weird to me that 1 flat on a n.a would make the egt run that high to hurt your motor or get it close to were you would have to shut your motor down running down the road i can see 2 or 3 flats i guess my other question is what does the temp run usaly an what it run with 1 flat i nw going above 1300 is bad.......just curious

cant really asnswer that. like i said, every motor is different, depending on age, injectors... ect. i have mine up 2 flats, but myu truck is also turboed. so big difference. but i can hit 1250 very quickly.
