I have a 7.3 non-turbo that is acting up. If i let the truck sit it will start back up then die like its out of fuel, i reprime the fuel filter and it runs fine till i turn it off then start all over again. The other thing its doing is if i put it under a load the filter light comes on and it starts to act like its running out of fuel. can someone help i have tried everything i know.

 

either your lift pump is going out or you have a clog in your tank. test fuel pressure at the filter head. should be 5-7 psi.

 

I will try it, all my problems started when i changed my filter with a house brand and come to find out the filler holes for the injection pump were to small starving the pump.
