no. you use a 5/32 allen key to turn the pump up. the allen key has 6 sides or "flats". turning the pump up one flat means turning it 1/6th of a turn. a full turn would be 6 flats.
it wont burn up the IP. it WILL burn up the motor. turning that screw up will also raise your EGTS and if they go to high will cause the pistons to melt. please tell me you installed a pyrometer before turning up the pump.
every motor is different. one flat is normally on and will not cause it to get to hot. 2 flats will cause a NA motor to get hot, turbed ones are ok. any more and u are asking for trouble.
you want to keep EGTS below 1250 degrees if the probe is mounted in the exhaust manifold.
ok well im running straits on it and i got it turned up 3 flats and its doing ok but ill keep an eye on it thanks for the help i was wondering about that and nice truck
