Default head light relay

I have tried the search button and came up with zip but I was sure that I read somthing a long time ago about anding a relay to the head lights on these trucks. has anyone done this and if so did it realy help? and driving my truck in light rain last weekend and only fealing comfortable doing about 35 mph becouse I could truely could not see. also has anyone had long term luck with the headlights on Ebay Ive heard they dont hold up well and cloud over bad. just looking for some advice thanks guys.

Well for the relay look on lmc trucks they sell the kit to do the headlight relays and I bought headlights from oreillys they are the depot brand replacement and they were only like 19 bucks and had them for a couple years and they haven't glazed or turned yellow

Instead of all the voltage traveling from the battery to the headlight switch then out to the lights. the wire that would normally go to your lights to triggers the relay and allow more voltage to the lights. Hope that makes sense.

It does make alot of difference in the brightness of the lights. Especially with the older glass sealed beam trucks

yep, big difference in sealed beams. if u measure it, normally u will only have 11 volts or so to the headlights before the relay mod.
