Well for the relay look on lmc trucks they sell the kit to do the headlight relays and I bought headlights from oreillys they are the depot brand replacement and they were only like 19 bucks and had them for a couple years and they haven't glazed or turned yellow

what does the kit do?

Instead of all the voltage traveling from the battery to the headlight switch then out to the lights. the wire that would normally go to your lights to triggers the relay and allow more voltage to the lights. Hope that makes sense.

makes complete sense. sounds like a great idea

It does make alot of difference in the brightness of the lights. Especially with the older glass sealed beam trucks

yep, big difference in sealed beams. if u measure it, normally u will only have 11 volts or so to the headlights before the relay mod.
