Default New LMM Owner

I am a LMM owner and would like to make some minor mods. I would like to remove the DPF with a delete kit. Do I need replace from the DPF back with a 4" exhaust? Would also like to block off the EGR...what's needed here? Finally, what controller will be needed for reprogramming after doing these mods? I am looking to gain some fuel economy and maybe some power without flirting with any danger. Advice appreciated....thanks!

PPE standard xcellerator, 4" "turbo-back" exhaust of your choice, and you can find EGR block plates at numerous places

LMM EGR Blocker Plate <merchant sells them

Thanks. Would it be better to spend the cash on EFI live vs the above tuner or a waste of money?

it all really depends what you want to do

I bought EFIlive so I could tune two trucks, so far i have $1300 into EFI, dps5 switches and the DURAMAXTUNER.COM | Custom Tuned DSP5 ECM's, EFILive and more. Fast, Friendly & Affordable! library

the PPE is awesome! but there is no way i could have tuned two trucks with PPE for the price I did

Its up to you in the end, do you want "plug and play"? or do you want endless tuning possibilities with a somewhat steep learning curve?

Good info. Thanks. I'll do some research, but leaning towards the EFI as I know I will need it to cure the disease I'm catching!
