I have a 4x4 f250 7.3 02...but I want to make it louder just make sound beast what would I put? I have ts 6 position chip intake k&n filter!

 

Take a sawzall and cut the exhaust pipe off right after the header.

 

Buy a full turbo back exhaust 4 inch will do u get a muffler it will still be plenty loud but I'd u don't you'll get drone on the highway.

You can post u want an exhaust in the price quote area and they'll give u some prices

But to answer the OP question. Straight pipe!

 

^ what he said, straight pipe it, go 4 inch off the turbo 5 off the turbo sounds dumb, no louder than 4 and less back pressure

 

yea a 4 inch is good thats what ive got u get so used to it that it wont bother u being too loud but when u et on it you know its there and surprisingly i dont notice it anymore but im told alot still that my truck is considerably loud and throaty MBRP turbo back

 

Oh the other option if funds are tight cut right before and after the muffler and take the back piece that goes behind the tire and put in front of the tire if that makes sense it's ghetto but will be loud some guy with a 6.0 did it in my town

 

as said above u can un bolt/cut it off before the muffler and then put a tip (probly 50 to 70 bucks) to push the smoke out from the axle and it will be loud...best option is to do a 4" though

 

Is that K&N an open style filter or drop in?? If its a drop in, I would ditch it...Too much dirt and crap gets by those because the top doesn't seal right on the box. Too many dusted turbo's from those. Get yourself an open style filter like a Napa 6637. With that intake and a straight piped 4" exhaust, You will have an awesome sounding truck!

 

Mine is totally ghetto, a 5" MBRP system that has started to rust and it broke, so last week I cut the pipe about 12" behind the 4" downpipe to 5" transition and stuck a turndown on aimed to the passengers side, homemade weedburner and LOUD!!! The butt dyno says it has a little more power, probably just scared now that the exhaust roars right under you.

Yes, yes, in the spring once this damn salt is done being spread I will be putting on a new 316SS 4" exhaust.
